Stronger Together in Procurement
- +- 17% cheaper than purchasing individually
- Average customer rating of 4.8 out of 5
- Rates that are consistently lower than those for individual renewals
It seems logical, but lacks scale
Many small and medium-sized businesses arrange their business energy needs around the time their contract expires. Many companies arrange their energy needs around the time their contract expires. Without collective purchasing power and without ongoing guidance, this results in unnecessarily higher costs and missed opportunities for negotiation.
Insufficient bargaining power
Suppliers set their rates based on market conditions, volume, and predictability. Those who purchase individually have less room to negotiate and rarely get the most favorable terms.
Result: You consistently pay a higher markup on the market price.
No active supervision during the term
For many parties, contact ceases after the contract is signed. Expiration dates and renewal deadlines are not actively monitored.
Result: Your contract will continue at a rate that has not been reassessed.
Incorrect contract type or term
The decision to choose a fixed, variable, or dynamic rate is often made without a clear understanding of consumption, plans, and risk tolerance.
Consequence: You’ll lock in a rate at an unfavorable price or take on a risk that isn’t right for your business.
The SPOT Energy Collective as a Solution
Collective procurement combined with ongoing support. Not only getting off to a strong start, but also maintaining control throughout the term.
Collective bargaining power
We combine the purchasing power of multiple companies and negotiate collectively with suppliers.
What this means in practice: A lower supplier markup on the market price and more favorable contract terms. This means that, over the term of the contract, you’ll pay less per unit of energy consumed than you would with an individual renewal.
Active Monitoring of Your Contract
We continuously monitor your contract expiration date and market trends, and we’ll initiate a new round of negotiations in a timely manner.
Here's what this means in practice: Your contract will be reviewed again before it expires, ensuring that you don't accept an unreviewed renewal and that you maintain your bargaining position.
Choice of Contract Based on Substance
We assess whether a 1- or 3-year term aligns with your usage, growth plans, and risk profile.
What this means in practice: You choose a contract that aligns with your business operations and avoids unnecessary risk or coverage at an unfavorable price.

Frequently Asked Questions About the SPOT Energy Collective for SMEs and Business Customers
Here you’ll find clear answers to questions about collective energy purchasing for small and medium-sized businesses, contract terms, contract durations, and support provided by the SPOT Energy Collective. Is SPOT Energie a reliable company?
SPOT Energie now assists more than 1,750 business customers with their energy procurement. Our advisors have a combined total of more than 40 years of experience in the commercial energy market.
We are not an energy provider, but an independent energy consultant. This means that we do not sell our own energy contracts, but rather help companies make well-informed decisions.
Our services are also highly rated by customers who appreciate our clear approach and personalized support.
Do I have to pay any additional fees to join the group plan?
No. There are no sign-up fees or subscription fees to join the SPOT Energy Collective.
Before you sign, you'll receive a detailed proposal with clear rates and terms. It's up to you to decide whether to accept it.
Our fee is included in the agreements with the energy provider. You will not receive a separate invoice for this.
What are the benefits of the SPOT Energy Collective?
Our collective combines collective purchasing power with professional guidance.
The main advantages are:
- Competitive rates through volume bundling
- Full transparency regarding the terms and conditions before signing
- Active support during and after the term
Am I committing to anything when I sign up?
No. Signing up or requesting information is completely non-binding.
You will first receive an assessment of the details and, if applicable, a proposal. An energy contract will be signed only after you have given your approval.
When you decide to sign up, you enter into a contract with the energy supplier within the collective. That contract has an agreed-upon term of 1 or 3 years. During that period, the supplier’s terms and conditions apply. In the event of early termination, fees may apply, as is customary with commercial energy contracts.
If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with the service provided by SPOT Energie, you must terminate your current energy contract with the supplier. After that, you are completely free to choose another provider.
We work every day to build long-term relationships and do everything we can to provide our clients with the best possible support throughout the entire term.
What happens if my current contract is still in effect?
First, we’ll review your current contract term, notice period, and terms and conditions.
Then, we’ll assess whether joining the SPOT Energy Collective is a good fit for you at this time.
Wouldn't it be wise to switch now?
In that case, we'll honor the existing agreements and record the correct contract start date.
Our goal is always to avoid unnecessary costs or fines.
When the time is right, we’ll contact you again to assess whether participation would be beneficial at that point.
Can I also opt for a customized plan instead of the group plan?
Yes. We always first assess whether participating in the group program makes sense. In some situations, an individual program is a better fit.
We provide advice based on content, not on a fixed model.
What happens when a contract with the SPOT Energy Collective expires?
We actively monitor the expiration date of each group contract.
Well before the contract expires, we reassess the market situation, the volume within the group, and your current situation.
Based on that, you will receive a renewal proposal in a timely manner, or we will begin a new round of negotiations.
This way, you can prevent automatic renewal at an unfavorable rate and ensure that your energy contract remains in line with market conditions and suited to your business.
